Rapper T.I. may have found a new career path for when, if, he decides that music is no longer for him. The Atlanta native sat in with the Hawks local commentary team for the first half of last night’s game at Philips Arena for the Heat and Hawks game. The hometown team eventually lost to Miami but that didn’t put a damper on T.I.’s night behind the mic. He said he hopes to return for a full game in the near future.
“This was a phenomenal opportunity,” said T.I., proud that the Hawks built a 46-42 lead during his time on air for SportsSouth. “I really enjoyed myself. I look forward to the next time and doing an entire game.
“They [Atlanta’s commentators] did all the heavy lifting, I just chimed in here and there. I have a close relationship, both personally and professionally, with a lot of the guys out there.”
