TLC’s T-Boz is very unhappy with the public’s attention on Sickle Cell Anemia.
T-Boz of TLC has always been very vocal about having Sickle Cell Anemia. As a child, the singer was diagnosed with the disease but only recently became public with it. With the news of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy dying from the disease last month, T-Boz has taken to social media to speak on her emotions.
Recently, the TLC frontwoman sent off a series of angry tweets. In the tweets, she calls out multiple groups including Black Lives Matter. T-Boz asks the movement as to why they aren’t vocal on the disease primarily affecting the African American community. While tweeting, she also stunned fans when she revealed how she almost died twice from the disease.
Earlier this year, T-Boz had a benefit concert for Sickle Cell Anemia. She urged the public to get tested as well. World Sickle Cell Day is celebrated on June 19, however, Sickle Cell Awareness Month is in September.
