Eight-hundred and seventy-one days have passed since SZA returned to deliver her sophomore album, S.O.S. With features from Travis Scott and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, among others, and contributions from Babyface, Leon Thomas, and many more creatives, the album quickly shot to number one on the Billboard 200 chart after moving more than 300,000 album-equivalent units in one week. Nearly three years later, it’s still sitting at number one.

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Billboard shared the news — SZA’s ‘SOS’ Captures 13th Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Yes, you read that correctly. SZA’s S.O.S moved 52,000 album-equivalent units last week and beat out albums like Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, and last week’s Billboard champion, More Chaos by Ken Carson. It’s the LP’s 13th non-consecutive week atop the chart.
S.O.S returns to the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart after the Grand National Tour kicked off on April 29, 2025. Taking her talents to stadiums, she, Mustard, and her former TDE counterpart, Kendrick Lamar, performed hits like “Luther” and “30 for 30” from GNX and LANA. The duo will take their talents to Charlotte and Atlanta this week.
