When Swiss Army Man premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Variety noted that a “half an hour of fart jokes, poop gags and run-on masturbation talk inspired a goodly chunk of Sundance’s world premiere audience to walk out early.”
Since this happened, most of us film fans who weren’t at this premiere have been aching with curiosity about the movie. Fortunately, the trailer for the film has been revealed at last, which is available below:
“Hank (Paul Dano) is stranded on a deserted island, having given up all hope of ever making it home again. But one day everything changes when a corpse named Manny (Daniel Radcliffe) washes up on shore; the two become fast friends, and ultimately go on an epic adventure that will bring Hank back to the woman of his dreams [Mary Elizabeth Winstead]” (A24 Films).
Swiss Army Man is written and directed by the music video directors Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan, collectively known as “Daniels”. A24 films will release the film on June 17.
