Suns Sign Anthony Tolliver
The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a two-year, $6 million deal with forward Anthony Tolliver, per ESPN. Tolliver showed his ability to be a stretch-four with the Charlotte Bobcats last season, averaging a career-high 41 percent from three-point range. He averaged 6.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 64 games for Charlotte.
Tolliver’s ability to space the floor at his position helps Phoenix fill the void of Channing Frye, who they lost to the Orlando Magic in free agency.
Suns general manager Ryan McDonough says,
Anthony is a great fit for our style of play. His shooting, professionalism and leadership will help us as we try to continue to build a strong foundation going forward.
If Tolliver can continue to be a threat from behind the arc he’ll find his minutes in Jeff Hornacek’s system in the front court.
