From Stein’s official story on the Suns shopping Plumlee:
Sources told ESPN.com ?that the Suns are working in conjunction with Plumlee’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, to try to find a new home for the third-year center, who has seen his playing time steadily dwindle as the season has progressed.
Miles has found his role and minutes diminished with the progression of rookie Alex Len and the Suns’ latest acquisition of Brandan Wright. Stein reports that the Suns are looking for a deal that would include at least one future first-round pick in exchange for Plumlee.
In his best time on the floor for Phoenix, which was more so last season, Plumlee played as an undersized center in a four-out, guard-oriented system. He showed the ability to be a mobile screener and rim runner with solid intangibles. These things might allow him to contribute elsewhere in a more reasonable position and role.
