The Phoenix Suns have still not received any sort of commitment from their starting point guard Goran Dragic for the long run but it seems like they’re ready to part ways with other pieces to make sure they let Dragic know they are serious.
Suns are without a doubt trying to improve their roster with the Oklahoma City Thunder and NEw orleans Pelicans breathing down their necks in the Western Conference standings to sneak into the playoffs.
Now it seems like a change could be made involving the high-flying Gerald Green or the newly signed, offensively skilled Isaiah Thomas.

Sources: Suns want to keep and re-sign Dragic, but to even consider a deal, they would minimally want player w/ All-Star potential and pick.
If the Suns make a move before deadline, it is far more likely to include Isaiah Thomas and/or Gerald Green, league sources tell Yahoo.
Dragic will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and unless the Suns are willing to go all-in on him by offering a max offer to re-sign, it would make sense to field offers now and get something worth value in return. The trade rumors continue to come and go, but the latest update has Phoenix willing to commit to Dragic, with these other players more likely to be gone before the deadline.
Thomas has a contract that’s easier to sell rather than a new, huge contract for Dragic would cost. After this season, Thomas is owed just under $7 million per year for the next three. Green’s contract is at 3.5 million and expiring after this season so his contract would be definitely be the easiest to move.
Also to add, with Dragic’s impending free agency, no one is likely to give up all that Phoenix is asking just to get him for the remainder of this season, with no future guarantee that he’ll re-sign to any new team he goes too.
Suns have a grueling stretch for the remainder of the season with games at Atlanta, at Dallas, at New Orleans, at San Antonio and versus the Clippers. The team knows they need to make a move to get better if it wants to avoid ending a second consecutive season with a narrow postseason miss, so expect the trio of Dragic, Thomas and Green to continue to come up in trade rumors until the trade deadline is passed.
