Kokoskov spent 2008 to 2013 in an assistant role with the Suns. Now, he’s their head coach. He is the first head coach in NBA history to have been born outside of North America.
Kokoskov, 46, had been an assistant in Utah since 2015. Prior to that job, he held assistant-coaching positions with the Suns, Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Clippers and Detroit Pistons.
