Earl Watson took over as the head coach of the Phoenix Suns towards the end of the 2015-16 season after former coach Jeff Hornacek was relieved of his duties with the team. Watson was given one full season with the squad and only three games into the 2017-18 campaign before he was fired by the team.
Watson has been fired after an 0-3 start to the Suns season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 reported Watson was meeting with owner Robert Sarver earlier today.

Look not sure what meeting is about. Could be to clear the air or could be a change. Off days can be used for both.

Watson posted a 33-85 record as the head coach during tenure with the team over the last three seasons. Phoenix lost two of their first three games this season by over 40 points and also suffered the worst season opening loss in NBA history Wednesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Watson and the Suns weren’t expected to compete for a playoff spot this year but instead use this season as another development year for their young talent and a possible top pick. A number of veteran talents have been on the trade block since last year but they have yet to make any major moves. With a change in coaching direction, you might also see some of the bigger name players get moved.
