For anyone who sat at home and enjoyed the NBA all day yesterday, good for you. The day was filled with good games, good plays, and most importantly great dunks! From Jaylen Brown and the Celtics in the afternoon to Paul George and the Clippers in the nightcap, dunks were all over the place. There were plenty of other highlights to enjoy as well. So let’s get into the Sunday NBA highlights.
Bogdan Bogdanovic got the day started with this DEEP three against the Hornets. You gotta guard Bogi out there, he’s been hanging out with Trae Young too long.

This was a really fun game to watch and a potential 2021 NBA Playoffs matchup later this season. The Hawks sit at 4th while the Hornets find themselves as the 6-seed at the moment.
Anyone else’s jaw drop when they saw this though?

Hawks won 105-101.
Over in Denver, an East vs West matchup unfolded. While these two probably won’t meet in the postseason, it was a great game anyway. The Nuggets led for quite some time. Nikola Jokic was doing silly things like this no-look pass.

The Celtics defense was suffocating in the second half and the Nuggets simply couldn’t hit shots. Denver finished the fourth quarter with a 13% field goal percentage. Jaylen Brown took the opportunity to put the cherry on top at the end of the 105-87 victory.

In another comeback win, the New Orleans Pelicans rallied to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jaxson Hayes may have sparked the attitude change with this beyond halfcourt heave.

Zach LaVine tried to warn the Timberwolves of his intentions in warmups.

Then in the second quarter, he let them know exactly what he set out to do. After putting up a 50-point performance earlier in the week, LaVine put up 30 in this contest.

Even with his tough performance, the Timberwolves were too much for the Bulls. Minnesota wins, 121-117 due to big performances from Karl Anthony-Towns and D’Angelo Russell.
Lonnie Walker IV went out and let the Mavericks have one on the head. The two best teams from Texas this season, the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas, may have to compete in the play-in tournament.

It came down to the wire and the Spurs ended up with the last possession. DeMar DeRozan decided he was going to call game in this one, because who else was going to do it?

Spurs win 119-117.
In Los Angeles, the Detroit Pistons gave the Clippers a run for their money. Without Kawhi Leonard, the Clips were a little shorthanded. When you have Paul George to take over, there isn’t a whole lot to worry about.

The dunk would be the energizer that carried LA through to the end of the game. The 33 points from Marcus Morris also helped of course and led the team in points. Clippers win 131-124.
Bradley Beal had the best take on the day’s events so I will leave you all with that.
