More, more, more. Quick, quick, quick. That’s the best way to describe the week that Vic Mensa and his fans have had as the rapper sprung right into action as he confirmed that new tunes would arrive very soon. Kicking things off with a subtle announcement that a mixtape and album were soon on the way, Vic did not waste any time as his new mixtape, There’s A Lot Going On, accompanying cover art, tracklist, and even new music were released to fans ahead of the moment that we now have in front of us.
If the mixtape’s cover doesn’t already make a statement, that seems to be the goal with Vic Mensa, if records like ’16 Shots’ and ‘Danger’ are anything to go by. Featuring only one collaboration from Ty Dolla $ign, There’s A Lot Going On serves as the home of 7 records that will best describe Mr. Mensa’s current sound and musical headspace. With a new album on the way, the Roc Nation artist is only getting started as he has plenty more in store for Hip-Hop fans.
