Reigning from North Carolina, new comer to Def Pen, Dwayne Applewhite delivers his debut project, ‘Pharaogamo’. Clever title by the way cause its a play on Ferragamo the designer (or that’s what I’m assuming) and Pharaoh. Being the front man for his crew, Village of Pharaoh it’s not hard to tell Applewhite as well as his crew look at themselves as royalty. Everyone should have this mindset
Delivering 10 tracks, Dwayne premiered this project with the folks at DJ Booth and here is what he had to say about the body of work he put together;
“This project evokes a wide range of vibrations, flows, vulnerabilities and frequencies experienced while relocating from North Carolina to Los Angeles, [I want you to] feel the rhythm, feel the ride.”
And to be completely honest that’s what this tape embodies when you listen to it, you won’t be disappointed as you take a listen because I certainly wasn’t.
