While he hasn’t been out of prison to thoroughly enjoy 2016 as a rapper, Gucci Mane clearly makes a case for having the best year. The same can be said for Philly’s own Lil Uzi Vert who is watching his career and popularity increase, I like to say he is reaching Rock Star status.
Gucci Mane has delivered quite the load of music and projects since his release; ‘Everybody Looking’, ‘Woptober’ and the Future assisted ‘Free Bricks 2: Zone 6 Edition’. On top of that he helped Rae Sremmurd reach #1 with ‘Black Beatles’. Guwop’s work ethic is unmatched and that shows on the quality of music he delivers. Lets not forget he has the rumored Drake collaboration on the way along with East Atlanta Santa 2.
As for Lil Uzi Vert 2016 saw his star power increase with his various features, shows and of course two projects ‘Lil Uzi Vert vs The World’ and ‘The Perfect Luv Tape’. His latest contribution which is becoming a fan favorite is his feature on Migos’ banger, ‘Bad and Boujee’. With that said, after linking with Future, there is no question that Uzi Vert would be next especially with his style being tailored after Gucci’s who he idolizes.
