Season 3 of Stranger Things has officially finished filming. Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour posted to Instagram to celebrate today.
The hit series was originally set to return this fall but was pushed back so the production wouldn’t have to rush. Stranger Things is now set to hit Netflix in Summer 2019. No official date has been announced yet but with filming complete it likely won’t be long until a trailer drops.
Last season ended with Eleven saving our world by closing the portal to the upside down. It’s unknown exactly what the new threat our heroes will face in the new season. But, the mind flayer was teased to return in the final seconds of last season so at least expect it to return.
Also, it’s worth noting that Netflix teased season 2 during the 2017 Superbowl so its possible we get our first look during February’s big game. Netflix does like making a splash during the Superbowl if last year’s Cloverfield Paradox drop is anything to go off.
Season 3 of Stranger Things is set to release next summer on Netflix.
