Stevie Wonder shares with fans his upcoming kidney transplant surgery and brief hiatus from the stage.
The living legend made the announcement July 6 during a show at London’s Hyde Park during the British Summertime Concert. According to The Associated Press, Stevie Wonder undergoes the kidney transplant this fall. His sharing of the news hopefully stops the spread of rumors surrounding his health status.
“I came here to give you my love and to thank you for yours,” says Stevie Wonder. He continues “You ain’t gonna hear no rumors about us. I’m good.”
AP continues to report Stevie Wonder will perform three more shows before his break.
