The Steve Nash saga has reached its end. On a day where the two-time MVP was linked with the Lakers, then the Knicks appeared certain to claim the All-Star, finally in a surprising twist, Los Angeles have swooped and gotten the point guard they sorely needed over the past few seasons.
Nash will join the Lakers in a sign-and-trade from Phoenix in which the Suns receive multiple draft picks from Los Angeles.
Ultimately it was some persuasion from superstar Kobe Bryant that changed Nash’s mind about donning the purple and gold after it seemed certain that he was headed to the Big Apple.
