I thought this was a cruel April fools joke when I first saw this on my twitter stream last night
Nash turned his left ankle. We’ll have an update as to whether he can return shortly, but he’s currently getting treatment.

Sadly this tweet was true, thankfully Steve Nash didn’t let that left ankle stop him from coming out in the 2nd half and finishing what he started. Nash wrapped up his 21 minutes with 10 points, 10 assists, 4 rebounds, and a block! He even finished with a team high +8 while on the floor. This was his first double double since March 17, 2013 against the Sacramento Kings
In a game that was pretty competitie until the end of the 3rd thanks to Nash and Swaggy P, Steve Nash showed us another reason why he still won’t retire…HE CAN STILL CONTRIBUTE if his body doesn’t give out! His court vision and basketball IQ is still elite, and it showed with the way he picked apart the Blazers D choosing his spots carefully while setting up Swaggy P and others with easy buckets.
“I had a blast, it was really fun to be back on the court and play” said Steve Nash in a interview with Laker Nation following the game
His play definitely showed that if the Lakers can get Steve Nash on a Dwayne Wade/Miami Heat resting regime, that he’s still a NBA caliber player.
