Yesterday, July 4th Steve McNair was found shot to death in a downtown Nashville Condominium. At the time there was also another female body by his side that had not been identified. We are now told the body is that of Sahel Kazemi.
McNair had been having an affair with Sahel for several months. The two were found shot to death in the condominium. Steve was in a chair with multiple gunshot wounds including one head shot. Sahel Kazemi had a single gunshot wound to the head. The weapon used is believed to be the one laying next to Kazemi where her body was found.
On July 2, 2009 Sahel was pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence. She was driving a 2007 Cadillac Escalade that was registered to her and McNair. McNair was also in the car at this time and was allowed to leave for home in a taxi cab. At the time of the arrest, Kazemi had bloodshot eyes and had alcohol on her breath. She claimed she was not drunk but was high and refused a breathalyzer test.
Authorities are investigating the possibilty of a murder-suicide with McNair and Kazemi. Michele McNair, wife of Steve McNair is reportedly very distraught according to police spokesman Don Aaron. He mentioned – “At this juncture we do not believe she is involved. Nothing has been ruled out, but as far as actively looking for a suspect tonight, the answer would be no.”
The 20 year old Kazemi worked at Dave and Buster’s restaurant in Nashville where McNair originally met her. This story is still developing, we will keep you all posted. This is a very tragic incident.
