Steve Kerr has been going through an unbelievably stressful ordeal in what must seem like a never ending injury from his years playing basketball. The head coach of the Golden State Warriors has been sidelined from being on the Warriors sidelines due to complications with a a back injury.
According to Tim Kawakami of Mercury News, Steve Kerr credits his son’s constant support on the road as a big help in his recovery.
And incredible to have the support of my wife and kids at home and then also have the support of Nick on the road. You know, he sits next to me on the plane, we hang out.
It’s comforting. Family is everything, especially when you’re going through a really rough time.
Nick Kerr, a former basketball player at USD, will also apparently be working for the Spurs sometime next season in a video role. His father, obviously proud of his son for putting the work in, will miss his companionship.
It’s good for him to go out and do his own thing; pretty good opportunity to go work for the best in the business.
We’re going to miss him.
