After the Golden State Warriors’ game six loss in the NBA Finals, head coach Steve Kerr went into the postgame press conference on a mission: Get his two cents in about the game’s officiating. Kerr isn’t an idiot; he knows that he’s going to receive a fine –probably a big one at that– for his comments. Knowing this, though, he spoke out about the referees:
Kerr said that he had no issue with point guard Stephen Curry throwing his mouthpiece in response to being ejected:
Enjoy your fine, Steve. He knows what he said, and clearly decided that letting the world know what he thinks about the officiating is worth $25,000, or $50,000, or whatever the fine will be.
UPDATE:
Kerr has indeed been fined by the NBA for his remarks about the officiating after game 6 of the 2016 NBA Finals.
