Netflix has announced the return of Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega. Part one of season two will debut on August 6, 2025, followed by part two of season two on September 3, 2025.
“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore,” co-showrunners and executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar told Netflix’s site, Tudum.
This season, viewers will find a young Wednesday Addams “plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.” Along the way, familiar faces, including those of Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, and the rest of the Addams family, will not be hard to find. However, not all faces will be familiar. Season two will mark the introduction of Nevermore’s new headmaster, Principal Barry Dort, played by Steve Buscemi.
“I’ve always been a fan of the Addams family — the movies, the TV show, and I was a big fan of Wednesday, so I was very excited to know that they were interested in me to play the new principal of Nevermore,” Buscemi told Tudum. “Barry Dort is a bit of a mysterious figure. Something about him is not right, but he loves the school and he has real outcast pride.”
