Director Cary Fukunaga has announced plans to adapt Stephen King’s creepy classic ‘It’ into two films.
Fukunaga will also co-write the script with Warner Bros. Chase Palmer and producers Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film was picked up by Warner Bros. back in 2009 as a single film.
‘It’ centers on a group of kids who encounter a demon who shape shifts into their fears. The novel was first released back in 1986.
ABC most famously adapted the film into a two part miniseries that featured Tim Curry as the sinister clown.
