Golden State Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry was recently diagnosed with an MCL sprain that will keep him sidelined anywhere from three to six weeks. The lower leg injuries for Curry have piled up this season and it appears the Warriors are steering on the side of caution as they seemingly have the second seed in the Western Conference locked up heading into April.
They won’t have a two-time NBA MVP as the season comes to a close but fellow All-Stars Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are all working their way back to the court after battling injuries of their own.
But Curry’s knee issue appears to be big enough of a concern for the Warriors that they are planning to keep Curry out of the first round of the NBA playoffs. Anthony V Slater of The Athletic shared comments made by Warriors head coach Steve Kerr. He said there’s ‘no way’ Stephen Curry plays in round one.

But Curry didn’t sound as adamant in his statement after Kerr left the podium. The Warriors star has hope that he’ll recover in time to play in round one.
