Stephen Curry is still inactive for the Golden State Warriors against the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 2 of the conference semis on Tuesday night due to a Grade 1 right MCL sprain he suffered in Game 4 of their first round series against the Houston Rockets.
Curry missed Games 2 and 3 of that series against Houston with an ankle injury, only to return in Game 4 and injure his right knee just before the halftime break.
The reigning MVP is now undergoing treatment for his sprained right knee, which has included platelet-rich plasma therapy treatment, per Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group. Curry received the PRP treatment on the second day of his recovery process.
You might recall this was the treatment that Kobe Bryant swore by when he went to Germany for the PRP therapy back in 2013. The therapy was developed by German orthopedist Dr. Peter Wehling.
Curry didn’t look all the way himself in the first half of Game 4 against the Rockets before he even suffered the knee injury. He is clearly taking certain steps to ensure that when he comes back this time, he’s ready to get loose again. Curry is expected to return to the lineup for Game 3 in Portland on Saturday.
