The Golden State Warriors won their first-round matchup against the San Antonio Spurs without star Stephen Curry. They likely will not have to go much more without him. ESPN’s Chris Haynes says that Curry has indicated his 2018 playoff debut is very close.
Stephen Curry tells ESPN the plan is to make his playoff debut on Tuesday, but says it's ultimately up to the medical staff. He said he would have played tonight for 20 minuets if it was up to him.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr has said that the Warriors do not need Steph Curry and that they can win without him. So far, that has proven true. Golden State finished off the Spurs in five games and dismantled the Pelicans in the first game of the second-round too.
Curry has been sidelined since late March with a sprained MCL. The plan all along was a second-round return for Curry, so this news validates what the Warriors expected.
Curry’s return will be massive for the Warriors; the two-time MVP averaged 26.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game on .495/.423/.921 shooting splits this season.
