The Golden State Warriors shockingly lost to the very injured Denver Nuggets on Monday. It was a strange outing with Nikola Jokic putting up unbelievable stats while the Nuggets rained threes all game.
The Warriors seemed to have shown up for the game expecting a victory and were surprised by the Nuggets, currently the leader to be their first-round matchup in the playoffs.
Warriors point guard Stephen Curry aptly described the game:
Stephen Curry: "We just got served a humble slice of cupcake."

Now, you may be thinking to yourself, ‘Steph, that’s now how that saying goes.’ The good news is you’re correct. The bad news is you may be living under a rock.
The Warriors, specifically Kevin Durant, were showered with chants of “cupcake” while visiting the Thunder on Saturday, a call-back to one of the great stories to emerge after Durant’s decision to go to the Bay.
The Dubs found some time to troll after winning in Oklahoma City, with Curry and Draymond Green wearing cupcake shirts in their post-game interviews. It appears as though Stephen Curry has still not gotten over the jabs at his teammate and he found a funny way to show it.
Or Curry was being totally literal. Yum.
With Warriors down 25 at half to Nuggets, here's a cool little story I learned about regarding Kevin Durant, a hotel chef and cupcakes. pic.twitter.com/fiRLqrz7z1
