Whoa! In a total surprise Stephen Curry completes the back-to-back and gets his second successive League MVP. Who would’ve thought?!
Being serious now, we knew this for most of the season that Stephen Curry would lock this MVP up. People found that quite boring that the race was over nearly immediately but I found it fascinating. Will he get unanimous 1st place votes as he should? Who are the people behind him?
It’s interesting asking people who they think round out the top 3. Russell Westbrook, LeBron, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard all have reasons to be no.2 but it’s been disputed all season. In my MVP predictions I put Russell “The Brodie” Westbrook 2nd and Kawhi Leonard 3rd. But then again, it’s all futile because we know who the no.1 is.
ESPN’s Marc Stein dropped the news.
Warriors guard Stephen Curry will this week be named NBA Most Valuable Player for a second successive season, ESPN has learned.

Some people hate on Stephen Curry because he’s apparently found the cheat code. When it’s literally just hours perfecting his jump shot and owning the deadliest hands since Mike Tyson. Those hands flick so perfectly it’s like he’s composing a symphony.
I know when the votes come out there will be 2-3 writers that will try to explain their way out of not voting Stephen Curry 1st. But let’s not get mad. They’re just salty because he’s single handedly changing the game. For better or worse, there’s not many players that have done that.
