Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry was solid on the defensive end this season; he was much better than many realize. You might even say he was an underrated defender. Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant wouldn’t say that, though. When asked if Curry was underrated on that end after Golden State’s game five win, Westbrook and Durant laughed it off:

Curry responded to this criticism today, by shrugging it off:
Steph Curry on Russ/KD defensive criticism: "Honestly, I could care less about other people's opinion of me. I know what I do for my team."

Curry has the right attitude about this. He knows that he plays defense, so he doesn’t need validation from players on opposing teams.
After allowing the Thunder to take a commanding 3-1 series lead, the Warriors played very well in game five, winning that game 120-111. Golden State will face their biggest challenge of the series tonight, as they will try to stave off elimination in a pivotal game six in Oklahoma City. If they can pull off a win tonight, they’ll have a great deal of momentum going into game seven at home.
