Many of those who follow the NBA have already pegged Stephen Curry as the greatest shooter of all-time. One person who doesn’t think Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter to play the game though, is Stephen Curry.
This years NBA MVP was on the Dan Patrick Show and was asked how long somebody needs to be in the league to earn that crown, and if he should be in the conversation.
“10 years,” Curry said. That’s enough time to, enough body of work, for you to really assess consistency and the sheer repetitions and amount of shots that you’re making. So, I’ve got three more good years left until I think I get into that conversation.”
Curry ranks 50th in all-time 3-pointers made and has a higher 3-point percentage than anyone in the top 140 of total 3s made. He’s also a 44% shooter from three-point range in his career. Compare that to Ray Allen, who many consider to be the greatest shooter of all time, as he is the all time leader in three pointers, shot 40% from downtown during his career.
Poll time! Is Curry the best shooter of all time? Will he be when his career is over? Let us know @NBAonDefPen.
