The Golden State Warriors lost game three of their first-round matchup against the Houston Rockets on Thursday, in large part due to Steph Curry’s ankle injury. But after missing two straight games, it seems that the Warriors point guard is ready to come back and join his team.
Curry on if he'll be surprised if he can't play Sunday: "Very"

That is great news for the Warriors. Golden State could probably get through this series without Steph, but they need him in order to attempt to get a second straight championship. With Curry back, the Warriors should be expected to win the next two games and get some extra rest before the second round starts.
The Warriors have likely been cautious with Curry’s injury, letting him rest on Thursday instead of risking something worse happening. That was a smart move as the biggest factor in the Warriors’ chances of repeating as champions is likely their health.
That being said, the extra rest in between series is enticing and Curry’s presence all but guarantees that possibility. Head coach Steve Kerr has repeatedly enforced the notion that Curry would not play if he were not healthy, so hopefully this news means that all is good and that Curry will be able to come back at full force as the best player in basketball.
