After the Facebook Live incident, it appears multiple teams tried to pluck Antonio Brown in a trade. According to Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report, the Steelers made it clear that Antonio Brown is not available at this time.
Freeman also adds that any trade involving Brown would have to include a first-round pick at the very least. Ben Roethlisberger has been unhappy with Antonio Brown’s antics so it could be possible that the team moves him if they get the right price. With the return of Martavis Bryant this year, it might further entice the Steelers to think about moving him. Does any team draft receivers better than Pittsburgh? Mike Wallace and Emmanuel Sanders are just a few recent examples of guys succeeding in the league.
Brown is currently signed through next season at a pretty cheap rate. He will earn just a base salary of $4.71MM and carry a salary cap charge of $13.6MM. Any team trading for him would likely work out an extension as well.
Brown, 28, caught 106 passes to go along with 1,284 yards and 12 touchdowns.
