Representatives from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have executed home search warrants for the two men arrested for the killing of Ahmaud Arbery. The home search took place on Tuesday in Glynn County where Arbery was killed in February. No further details have been provided regarding the search.
Greg and Travis McMichael were both arrested earlier this month in connection to the death of Ahmaud Arbery. Arbery was killed on February 23, 2020 while he was jogging through the Satilla Shores neighborhood in Glynn County. According to incident reports, the two men spotted him as he was jogging and believed he may have been involved in a break-in that had occurred in the area. After spotting Arbery, the two followed him in their car before shooting and killing him.
Neither Greg or Travis McMichael were arrested initially. Nearly 10 weeks after Arbery’s death, a video of the killing surfaced online. Immediately, the video sparked outrage and spurred calls for the McMichaels arrest. The two have since been charged with aggravated assault and murder.
