ABC has announced that they in the early development stages of creating a live action ‘Star Wars’ TV series.
Paul Lee, the president of ABC, said they are still in talks with Lucasfilms on the project. Disney, which also owns ABC, acquired the rights to the franchise back in October of 2012.
“We really like Star Wars‘ potential on TV.” said Disney CEO Bob Iger in 2012.
This wouldn’t be the network’s first spinoff of a movie franchise.
‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ has been adapted from the Marvel’s blockbusters and is set to premiere on ABC on September 24.
