James Earl Jones will be reprising his iconic role as Darth Vader in ABC’s airing of Star Wars Rebels.
ABC has announced their plans to re-air ‘Spark of Rebellion,’ a feature-length Star Wars Rebels episode which originally aired on the Disney Channel.
The broadcast will occur on October 26 and will include a new scene that features Jones voicign Darth Vader.
Star Wars Rebels producer Dave Filoni said of Jones’s involvement: “We wanted to do something special for the ABC broadcast.
“We’ve added a scene which gives audiences insight into the Inquisitor and includes a cameo by Darth Vader voiced by the distinguished actor James Earl Jones.”
The animated series is set five years before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, as the Galactic Empire tries to gain control of the universe.
Star Wars Rebels will begin airing on Disney XD on Mondays beginning on October 13.
