This is a very interesting NBA Draft. Particularly when you reach the bottom half of the Lottery teams. If you look at all the mock Drafts on the net, (including ours) you can see constant flux for the teams like the Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons. You really don’t know who they’re going to go for. There are genuinely 7-10 players that could all fit in those late Lottery spots.
One player that has moved up and down throughout the pre-Draft process is Arizona’s Stanley Johnson. This guy is a potential beast, a real Paul George type that can do everything at a decent level. He could be a Kawhi Leonard or PG13, great two-way plays that can dominate the game on both sides of the floor. Johnson is a talent that will definitely be cherished, but according to DraftExpress, it probably won’t be the Charlotte Hornets to cherish him as Johnson doesn’t want to work out for them.
Stanley Johnson reportedly refusing to work out for Charlotte, who are drafting 9th. Hoping to get picked by Detroit (#8) or Miami (#10).

That is such a shame that Johnson doesn’t want you Charlotte. Just because Michael Jordan is in your franchise, does not mean that Johnson is going to play with him. Influence is clearly not there all the time eh. But I can see why Johnson likes the Pistons and the Heat. I think the Pistons can get it done with another good starter and a bench and the Heat has a great organization behind the players. What can go wrong?
