
It’s the low key but very interesting ESPN rankings for the NBA executives. They do this every year and every time it’s the San Antonio Spurs leading the way. I don’t want to talk about them that much, they’re first. Whoopee.
Lets get a little deeper into the list. Firstly, here are the rankings by ESPN.com.

3. Houston Rockets – Rating: 8.26
4. Miami Heat – Rating: 8.04
5. Portland Trail Blazers – Rating: 7.65
6. Atlanta Hawks – 7.61
7. (Tied) Dallas Mavericks & Oklahoma City Thunder – Rating: 7.48
9. Boston Celtics – Rating: 7.39
10. Toronto Raptors – Rating: 7.26

Now here’s what caught my eye. Have a look at the 16th and 17th positions. Look at the dip there. Do you know what that tells me? The teams that are 16th and above. They have a clear future. You may look at Utah and Milwaukee and scoff at me but Milwaukee are 6th in the East and will be better next season. And Utah have been one of the best teams since the All-Star break so pipe down. You can make a case for the rest below Philadelphia. But I don’t see any of them winning a championship anytime soon.
