The San Antonio Spurs have given Jimmer Fredette a shot. After spending years with numerous different teams, Fredette has not turned out to be the great shooter and player everyone thought he would be coming out of college. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Spurs will give him another chance:

Spurs are always on the lookout for shooters and want to give Fredette his shot in the San Antonio system

There is no doubt in anyone’s mind, even the Pelicans, Fredette can shoot the ball. The Pelicans didn’t want him back, but with the Spurs he gets a chance to work in one of the best systems in the NBA, if not the best. Could that get him out of his NBA funk like it did to other players? Danny Green was one of them. He went there and flourished into a 3 & D player that is essentially to any team. The Spurs recently lost Corey Joseph, their 3rd string point-guard, and Fredette could be a valuable replacement. His playmaking and PG ability is one to look past, but his shooting will always make him a good pick up. The Spurs get even better. This is the summer of the Spur.
