Spike Lee has been quite busy lately. He recently finished filming his documentary for the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s Bad album, Bad 25, and now, he’s set to begin filming another film this fall.
Oldboy is a will be an American remake of the 2003 Japanese film by the same name, and from how it sounds, it seems like it’s going to be really good.
Here’s a bit about the film:
An everyday man has only five days and limited resources to discover why he was imprisoned in a nondescript room for 15 years without any explanation.
Jackson will be playing that man that’s been locked away for fifteen years, and his kidnapper will be portrayed by Josh Brolin.
Elizabeth Olsen and Sharlto Copley will also star in the film, which hits theaters next year, however, filming will begin this fall in New York.
