How many times does Spike Lee have to deny that he will switch allegiances to the Brooklyn Nets? The long-time Knick fan – but Brooklyn-bred director – has reiterated many times that he bleeds orange-and-blue. Lee won’t even be swayed by the fancy new Barclays Center on Atlantic Avenue, he says that despite the new arena featuring a 40/40 Club and special V.I.P. section, Madison Square Garden is still better.
“I’m not going with the Brooklyn Nets,” Lee said.
“I’ll go [to the arena], but I’m not a Brooklyn Nets fan,” he added. ” It’s not better than Madison Square Garden though. It’s three blocks from my office in Forte Green.”
