Over the weekend, Tom Holland took to Twitter, teasing that something would be happening “Monday morning…”. Many fans assumed it would be related to Spider-Man: Far From Home, the hope was that it would be another trailer for the film. Well, we were half-right as three new posters for the webhead’s next outing were released.

The posters are reminiscent of posters released for Homecoming with Holland’s Spider-Man striking poses on some European landmarks. Far From Home definitely has a bigger scope than its processor as the posters put Peter Parker in at least three different cities: London, Berlin, and Venice. Unfortunately, there’s no sign of Mysterio or any of the villains Spidey will apparently be fighting this time around.
Far From Home will follow Peter as he travels to Europe for the summer on a school trip. While there, he reluctantly gets involved with Nick Fury and ultimately it seems like he’ll face off against Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio. What’s not clear yet is where the sequel falls in the timeline. We know it’ll definitely take place after Endgame, but with the time travel theories surrounding that movie, who knows what the fallout will look like. Considering the fact that Peter, Fury, and 50% of the population disappeared after Thanos’ infamous snap, the world does seem surprisingly normal and well-adjusted in the trailers for Far From Home. Marvel has been known to straight-up lie in trailers before though so its highly likely not all is as it seems here.
Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5th.
