The Clippers are 6th in the East. On paper they should be at least top 4. Know my opinion they have been underwhelming. And I don’t blame the the fact that the Western Conference is better than predicted. The Clippers have the players, the bench and the coaching to be one of the best in the league and they have not done that. Far from that.
So when I heard that there might be a rift in the Clippers locker room. My first thought was “So that’s why they’re mediocre!”
But then Spencer Hawes took to Clippers.com refuting anything close to a rift.
“Any team over the course of any season, there’s going to be stuff like that,” Hawes said. “But as far as I’m concerned, this team, off the court, on the court, gets along with each other as well as any that I’ve been a part of. I think there’s a lot of competitive guys, a lot of guys that just want to win. Sometimes you see that side of it, but you don’t see the everyday of how we get along with one another.”
When asked if teammates need to get along to win, Hawes said it all depends on the situation.
“Winning obviously helps all that other stuff, but in our situation, guys on our team do get along,” Hawes said. “I think that’s part of what helps us continue to be successful.”
Well if it’s not that. What is the problem?! Can somebody please tell me how they have a pure point guard. One of the best benches in the game and a crazy frontcourt. And only be 6th in the West.
