Millions of viewers tuned into to see this clash of champions and some shared their thoughts. Claressa Shields, Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson and Shakur Stevenson were just a few to share their thoughts about the fight on camera and via social media.
“[This is the] best performance I’ve seen in boxing,” Portland TrailerBlazers Point Guard Damian Lillard tweeted.

“Tonight’s fight was a showdown! Big props to both teams for putting on a clean show,” Super Bowl Champion Shannon Sharpe chimed in.
Gotta love it when two great fighters step up to make the fight that the fans WANT to see. Massive respect to @terencecrawford and @ErrolSpenceJr for going after glory, history and UNDISPUTED! ??? Congrats Terence. Spence, learn from this. #SpenceCrawford #CrawfordSpence

“Crawford [wins] by TKO. I expected a decision win [from] him. I did not expect an absolute ass-whipping! [Terence Crawford] destroyed [Errol Spence Jr.] I take no pleasure in saying that. Love [them] both, but it’s just the truth,” First Take Host Stephen A. Smith added.
Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe weren’t the only ones letting their feelings be known. Both Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford reflected on the fight during their post-fight press conference appearances.
“He was just better tonight. He was using the jab. My timing was a little bit off. He was just the better man tonight,” Spence Jr. said about Crawford.
“I want to thank Spence and his team because without him none of this would have been possible,” Crawford added.
For now, the two men will reflect on the night. However, a rematch is expected later this year at super welterweight.
