Los Angeles Lakers Forward LeBron James seemingly unveiled the title and logo for the second installment of the Space Jam franchise. Earlier this afternoon, James posted a video of himself wearing a black hat on Twitter. As many fans noticed, James’ hat was much more than your usual baseball cap. Adorned in Space Jam themed artwork, the hate read, “Space Jam: A New Legacy.” Shortly thereafter, Warner Bros. Pictures changed the profile and cover photo of the Space Jam Facebook page to match that of James’ hat.

Space Jam: A New Legacy is set to hit theaters on July 16, 2021. Alongside James, Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis and Klay Thompson are set to star in the film. Behind the scenes, Ryan Coogler will act as a producer and Malcolm D. Lee will direct.
Warner Bros. Pictures has not indicated that the film’s release will not be delayed by COVID-19. As a result, fans can expect the film to come out in 2021 as expected.
