Could this be the end of Soundcloud?
The music streaming service Soundcloud is under a lot of trouble money wise. According to a company leak from Tech Crunch, the company is in deep water. Recently, the company had to lay off 40% of its staff, 173 employees, from their jobs. According to the founders of the company Alex Ljung and Eric Wahlforss, the lay offs are suppose to help the company save enough money until ‘Q4’, which is in 50 days.
Many former and current employees of the company have voiced their disbelief in the lay offs of fellow team members. One employee came for Wahlforss when he referred to employees as a “family”. “You just fired 173 people of the family, how the f*** are you going to talk about family?”
Only time will tell if this will this be the beginning of the end for the popular streaming service.
