The Interview will not be released on VOD, DVD or any other home entertainment platform.
Sony Pictures Entertainment has announced that it has no plans to release the film in any capacity, following a subjective terror threat.
On Wednesday [December 17], Sony announced that it was pulling the film from theaters, after six major movie chains confirmed they would not be showing the movie.
The Interview has been the subject of controversy over the last month, due to a cyber attack against Sony back in November.
A cyber group known as ‘Guardians of Peace’ have taken responsibility for hacking Sony’s computers, claiming that it was motivated by objections to the Seth Rogen and James Franco comedy about the assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
No word yet on if the movie will be hosted on streaming sites such as Hulu and Netflix.
