
Life is moving very quickly in the world of Marvel Entertainment. In 2019, fans can look forward to a new Captain Marvel film, the newest installment of the Avengers series and a Dark Phoenix movie. Not to mention, Spider-Man: Far From Home is projected hit theaters in 2019. With that being said, Spider-Man could also hit theaters in 2020.
With a new Spider-Man film already in the works, Sony Pictures has let fans know that they may pivot to a new direction in the near future. The next big project in the world of Spider-Man will be an animated Spider-Woman film. Written by Bek Smith, the new Spider-Woman film will focus on three generations of Spider-Women. Amy Pascal will take on the producer role. In the near future, Avi Arad, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Christina Steinberg will likely join the team as well.
While nothing has been announced about the plot, it is very possible that the new film will focus on the life of Spider-Gwen of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. There is no projected release date, but it’s possible that the new film could theaters as soon as 2020. Stay tuned for more details as Marvel continues its run as the Q.C. of superhero films.
