Sony/ATV Music Publishing has opened up a new office in Atlanta, Georgia. Located in Buckhead, A&R extraordinaire Mike Jackson will lead the office as Vice President of Creative. Throughout his career, Jackson has worked with stars such as Bryson Tiller, Lil’ Baby and the City Girls. In the peach state, Sony/ATV will join a city buzzing with the talent of Summer Walker, Migos and many others.
“It’s an honor be a part of cultivating the careers of new and established songwriters, producers and artists in Atlanta with this new Sony/ATV initiative,” Jackson said.
“Atlanta has given us so much great culture and music over the years – it is a tremendous pleasure to help give something great and resourceful back to the Atlanta music community. I am honored to work with Jon and the Sony/ATV team, and I’m looking forward to adding value and keeping up with the already winning momentum here,” he added.
The Buckhead location will make Sony/ATV’s fifth location. The music label currently has offices in Nashville, Los Angeles, New York and Miami. Moving forward, Sony/ATV will look to staff its Atlanta team.
