SOB X RBE’s 2018 run hasn’t been quiet, but it has been remarkable. The California rap collective kicked off 2018 with a major feature on the Black Panther soundtrack with their hit, “Paramedic”. After that, the group that gave us “Paramedic”, gave us tracks like “Anti Social”, “Anti” and “Carpoolin” on their debut album, Gangin‘.
This week, SOB x RBE continued their 2018 campaign with the release of their newest piece of work, Tutuland. The seventeen minute EP is collaborative effort with fellow California group, Big Money. Named in honor of fallen rapper, Tutu, the short project features the high energy and in your face style that made SOB x RBE a rising entity in rap to begin with.
The EP’s standout effort is it’s outro which feature a hook from SOB x RBE’s Yhung T.O. who raps, “I’ma be a legend, dead or alive/And you said you was my brother but you lied/If I put my trust in you one more time/Is you gon’ ride when it’s time to slide?/Yeah, when it’s time to slide.” Lil Sheik closes out the show on the second verse by rapping, “Everybody love you when you gettin’ money/Some say when I got this money I started actin’ funny/I was robbin’ all my life, thank lord for what I got/When only posted in the ‘jects, I lived at the top/You don’t know how it feel to lose your best friend/Tell all my niggas keep a Glock, I can’t feel that again/Last week I almost threw all of this shit away/But I got way too much on my dinner plate.” Check out the project’s outro, “Down to Slide”, and more by streaming it above.
