Smush Parker wants to bury the hatchet with Kobe Bryant and join Ice Cube’s “Big3” league together. In an interview with TMZ, Parker talked about his hopeful plan:
I was watching ESPN and I saw Ice Cube’s interview where he was introducing the 3-on-3 to the world and I was like, man. This would be perfect if we got Kobe, Lamar and myself to play the triangle offense…We would take the whole thing!
The “Big3”, for those who don’t know, is a 3-on-3 league with former NBA players. Ice Cube and Roger Mason created the league which will be debuting in the next few months . It has already recruited players such as Allen Iverson, Kenyon Martin, and Rashard Lewis. Now, Parker wants to join the fun. He and Kobe briefly played together in the mid 00’s and it didn’t work out so well. Kobe always made it clear he was never a big fan of Parker. According to the LA times, Kobe even said his teammates were one of the main reasons Steve Nash won MVP over him.
“I tell Steve, you won MVP but I was playing with Smush Parker. He’s playing with [Leandro] Barbosa. I’m playing with Smush and Kwame [Brown]. My goodness.”
Although Parker is looking for a reunion, do not expect Kobe to be chomping at the bit to play with him. Smush Parker may get one of his two desired teammates, however. Lamar Odom, according to TMZ, would be on board.
“I’m with it!”
