This Friday, we can listen to new projects from Lil’ Durk, Trippie Redd, Lil’ Peep and more. Among the dozens of new projects to be released this weekend is NØIR from St. Louis native, Smino. Eighteen months after dropping his debut album, the St. Louis artist is back with a new project that fuses neo-soul, R&B and Hip-Hop. In addition, the project comes complete with features from Valee, Dreezy, Ravyn Lenae and many more.
When asked about the project, Smino told Billboard NØIR is a “record about the present”. He later added, “It’s an experience that is far more complex and challenging.” Smino also told The Rolling Stone, “I just didn’t want to make the same album. The music sounds fun as hell. I ain’t gonna say what it is and what it ain’t. It’s raw as f*ck.”
In addition to dropping his sophomore album, the St. Louis announced his third annual homecoming show on December 14th at The Pageant. Not to mention, he also dropped a new visual for the album’s second track, “L.M.F”. With a new album, video and homecoming show, there are plenty of opportunities to check out Smino’s new work.
